Amanda Bollinger (nee Houghton) - Amanda graduated from the Berlin State Ballet School and went on to dance with the Metropole Theater Berlin, was a principal artist with the Space Dream Musical Theatre, and the Ballett Compangnie Deutschland. After 10 years dancing in Europe she moved to Australia to start a family and in 2005, opened her own Dance Academy

Jane Casson
Jane began her training at Philippa Campbell School of Ballet at the age of 6. At 16, Jane won The John Logan Campbell Award and the following year moved to Wellington to train at The New Zealand School of Dance. During her time there she was awarded several scholarships enabling her to compete and train in Sydney, Hong Kong and Japan. In 1998 Jane was a Shell Scholar recipient, allowing her to join The Royal New Zealand Ballet, where she performed many featured roles including those in Seven Deadly Sins, Protecting Veil, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Dracula.
In 2001 Jane joined The Australian Ballet and the following year was awarded the Lissa Black Scholarship enabling her to travel and study with The Paris Opera Ballet, Ballet de Nice, Ballet de Monte Carlo and the Hamburg Ballet.
Since joining the company Jane has performed many of its classical and contemporary ballets. . In 2004 Jane was promoted to Coryphée and to Soloist in 2006. Jane retired as a professional dancer at the end of 2010 and is now Managing Director of Pilates for Mums and Pilates for Corporates in Melbourne

Anna MacRae - Anna Graduated from Unitec Performing and Screen Arts in 1996 and was a founding member of Curve Dance Collective.Since 2001 she has been working in Europe as a dancer, teacher and choreographer. Her work has toured to Austria,France, Germany, Spain, Italy and Romania.

Clytie Campbell
Clytie Campbell - Clytie joined the RNZB in 2005, returning from eight years dancing in Europe. Starting at the age of five, her entire ballet training was at her mother’s school, the Philippa Campbell School of Ballet in Auckland. At 17, Clytie joined the Deutsche Oper Ballet in Berlin, where she danced for more than six years, before moving to Vienna’s Staatsoper Ballet.
Clytie has danced many lead roles with the RNZB including Kitri in Don Quixote, the Sylph in La Sylphide, Myrtha, Queen of the Wilis in Giselle, the grand pas de deux in The Nutcracker, and Carabosse and the Lilac Fairy inThe Sleeping Beauty, as well as solos in Esquisses, Silhouette and A Million Kisses to My Skin. Her role as Lady Capulet in Romeo and Juliet was described as ‘a knockout’.
Clytie received critical acclaim for her lead roles in 2011’s European tour of "From Here to There". Recent highlights include the Fairy Godmother and the Tall Step Sister in Christopher Hampson’s Cinderella (2012), and the Ghost of Christmas Past and the Nephew’s Wife in A Christmas Carol (2014). On the RNZB’s 2014 US tour, critics praised her ‘technically and expressively strong and appealing’ performance in Javier De Frutos’Banderillero. 2015 saw Clytie perform as the Queen of the Dryads and Mercedes in Don Quixote, roles in Dear Horizon and Passchendaele, and Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
After 11 years with the RNZB Clytie is retiring from dancing and in 2017 will take on the role of Ballet Mistress for the RNZB

Amber Hunt
Amber began dancing at the age of four, she joined the Philippa Campbell School of Ballet where she completed the Royal Academy of Dance exams and was awarded Solo Seal at the age of sixteen. In 1994, whilst still at the school, she was chosen to dance before Prince Charles on his visit to New Zealand.
In 1998, Amber competed in a variety of national and international competitions. She was awarded the bronze medal in the prestigious Adeline Genee Awards in London, and also competed in the International Pan Pacific Ballet Competition in Tokyo where she was selected as one of 11 finalists. The same year, she was the winner of the Sir John Logan Campbell Award in Auckland and Dancer of the Year in Wellington. Amber was given a scholarship to the New Zealand School of Dance, where she graduated in Dance Performance in 2000.
Amber moved to London where she danced in English National Ballet's production of SwanLake and Romeo & Juliet at the Royal Albert Hall. She also performed in smaller companies such as Ballet Ireland, but in 2005 was given a permanent contract with English National Ballet.
Since joining the company full time, Amber has enjoyed performing many of the major classical ballets including Derek Deane's Swan Lake, Nureyev's Romeo & Juliet, Mary Skeaping's Giselle, Christopher Hampton's Nutcracker, Micheal Corder's Snow Queen and Kenneth MacMillan's Sleeping Beauty and Manon. Her favourite ballet has been Harald Lander’s Etudes. Amber was recently cast for Jiri Kylian's Petite Mort being performed at the London Coliseum. Amber also performed in the London Olympics (2012).
Amber also has a passion for photography and has seized every opportunity she can to take photographs of rehearsals and performances. Many of her images have been used in international magazine Dance Europe as well as English National Ballet's advertising and ‘In the Wings’ magazine

Laura Message (nee Tong)
Laura Message (nee Tong) - Laura joined the English National Ballet in 2001. She has since joined the Australian Ballet Company and was promoted to Coryphee in 2006 and Soloist in 2008 Laura has danced leading and principal roles including Gamzatti in La Bayadere, Mistress in Manon, 'Baroness von Rothbart' in Graeme Murphy's Swan Lake and 'La Cigarette' in Suite en Blanc. Laura was a Telstra Ballet Dancer Award nominee 2009.

Cassandra Wilson - Cassandra graduated from the New Zealand School of Dance with a National Diploma in Dance Performance in 2002 and joined the Royal New Zealand Ballet the following year. After 9 years with the ballet company Cassandra has retired as a dancer and was awarded a grant from the Warren Douglas Scholarship Fund which will enable her to complete her Bachelor of Business studies
Hana Tipa - Hana graduated from the NZSD with a National Diploma in Dance Performance in 2003. She was the recipient of the Todd Corporation Scholarship to the RNZB. Hana left the ballet Company in 2006 and is now the Dance Teacher at Avondale College.

Yasmin-Li Gray
PCSB student age 7 – 16. Yasmin gained the Teaching Certificate from the Royal Academy of Dance in 2004. She opened her own ballet school, Dance West, in 2002.

Aleisha completed her full time training at the Australian National Theatre Ballet School in Melbourne, Graduating with an Advanced Diploma in dance. In 2008 Aleisha became a member of the Teatrul de Balet Sibiu, Romania moving up the ranks of the comapny to become a soloist performing roles from Sleeping Beauty, Le Corsaire, Giselle, Scheherazade, Cinderella, The Nustcracker, Raymonda, Don Quixote, Romeo and Juliet, Faust, Carmen, Paquita and various modern and contemporary pieces. She has since toured with the company to France, Monaco, Germany, Italy, Sicily, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Japan and numerous cities around Romania. Continuing with her move through the company Aleisha became Ballet Mistress and choreographer, she has choreographed many full classical and contemporary performances including La Fille Mal Gardee, Vivaldi's Four Seasons, Impetus and is currently working on a premier of La Bayadere.

Whilst at NZSD Paul was invited to attend Jacobs Pillow in Boston. Paul was also a finalist in both the Alana Haines Australasian Award and the National Ballet Award. He took up his contract with the Royal New Zealand Ballet in 2006 and has been described as a “Dancer to Watch” in Dance Europe Magazine. In 2010 Paul was a guest artist for Dance School Pazapa in New Caledonia. Paul has performed the roles of Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet, Captain Hook in Peter Pan, Gurn in La Sylphide, Gamache in Don Quixote and Blackamoor in Petrouschka. Joshua Brown
PCSB student age 4 – 12. Joshua graduated from Ecole Ballet and Dance Theatre in Sydney, Australia. In 2010 he took up a contract with Miami City Ballet and in 2012 joined the Los Angeles Ballet where danced for 7 seasons.

Saeko Hayashi - Saeko moved to New Zealand at the age of 10, where she trained in the RAD Syllabus at the Philippa Campbell School of Ballet and was awarded Solo Seal. She then went on to study at the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts, gaining a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dance with honours. Her other achievements include the Hong Kong Star Awards Silver Medal in 2008, a soloist role in Paquita (2009) and Princess Aurora in Sleeping Beauty (2010) with Osaka Ballet Japan. She moved to the Philippines and joined Philippine Ballet Theatre as company member in 2010, performing first in Romansa, and then as a Paquita soloist in Carmina Burana and Other Ballets, and as Tea from China in The Nutcracker

Jason Yang-Westland
Jason Yang-Westland - Jason has recently made his debut in Australia in the Australian Premiere of ‘Memphis’ The Musical (StageArt). He also performed as ‘Eugene’ in the New Zealand National Tour of ‘Grease’ (Ben McDonald Productions) and in the Original New Zealand Production of 'Mary Poppins’ as ’Neleus’ (Court Theatre). He then reprised his role in the Invercargill Musical Theatre production. Prior to his return to New Zealand, he trained and performed with Melbourne City Ballet in classics such as 'Romeo & Juliet', 'A Midsummer Night’s Dream' and ‘Coppélia' as well as new contemporary works. He has performed internationally multiple contracts for Royal Caribbean Productions featuring in their production shows. Other theatre credits include 'Anything Goes', 'Miss Saigon’, '42nd Street’ and the featured solo dancer in ‘The Phantom of the Opera’ (Amici Productions). He is a member of the Apollo Theatre Company performing at corporate events and functions. He enjoys freelance teaching, choreographing and adjudicating in his spare time.

Katie Meltzer
Katie Meltzer - Katie joined Philippa Campbell School of Ballet at Grade 1 level, she received Distinction in all her exams through to Advanced II, Katie also received Honours with Excellence in her Contemporary exams and was nominated for the NZAMD Scholarship. In 2007 Katie was placed 3rd in the Sir John Logan Campbell Ballet Trust Award and was a finalist in the National Ballet Award. In 2008 Katie was the winner of the Sir John Logan Campbell Ballet Trust Award and was a Junior Associate with the NZSD. In 2009 Katie was a Finalist in the World Ballet Competition in Orlando, USA and she attended the Genee Ballet Competition in Singapore. In 2010 Katie accepted a ¾ Scholarship to attend Alegria School of Dance in Sydney, as a full time Student. Whilst at Alegria Katie achieved Honours for her Cecchetti Major Ballet Exams and her Spanish Dancing exams. She studied Martha Graham Contemporary and was also placed runner up in the Cecchetti Ballet Awards. That year she went to London for the Genee Ballet Competition. In 2011 Katie danced in the finals of the YAGP in New York City. In 2012 Katie accepted an apprentice position with The Israel Ballet Company and now lives in Tel Aviv Israel. Katie has started up a business making and selling dance apparel

Henry Grey - Henry was a semi-finalist at the Youth America Grand Prix in 2012, he moved to Boca Raton, Florida to complete four years of full-time training at the HARID Conservatory. He was one of two recipients of the Excellence Award at Houston Ballet out of over 700 students in Houston, and was also awarded the Fred Liebermann Award for Excellence at the conclusion of the 2013 - 2014 HARID school year. Since August he has been dancing as a corps de ballet dancer with the Bayerisches Straatsballet in Munich, Germany

Patricia Cenan
Patricia Cenan - Patricia graduated from the Regional Academy of Performing Arts with a Diploma of Dance (Elite Performance) through TAFE Institute, Australia. She received the most outstanding student award for 2013, understudied the role of Juliet and performed in the Projection Dance Company's season of Swan Lake and Romeo & Juliet. Patricia is now in her third year as an artist with the National Opera Ballet Company (Cluj, Romania). Since joining the company, she has danced many soloist roles and debuted in a principal role as Marguerite Gautier in Lady with the Camelias.

Sophie McIntosh - After graduation from the Philippa Campbell School of Ballet Sophie received a scholarship to spend the summer at the Joffrey Ballet School in Manhattan, New York where she was later offered a place as a full time classical student. She was also offered a place as a contemporary major at the New Zealand School of Dance. Whilst still in New Zealand Sophie danced for Mary-Jane O’Reilly in her recreation of Giselle, for Diamond Entertainment, and has starred in numerous music videos including Shayne Carter’s I Know Not Where I Stand, and Jarryd James’ 1000x. She is now living in London, England working as a commercial dancer. Since arriving she has booked jobs in television, the music industry, and has an ongoing contract with the London Cheerleaders who perform in the English Premier Football League. Next year Sophie hopes to move to Los Angeles to pursue further opportunities in the performing arts.
Zoe Bedford - Zoe started dancing at the school at the age of 6 and left 10 years later after completing all her RAD exams, up to and including Advanced II, with Distinction. Zoe completed 18 months of full time training at Alegria Dance Studios in Sydney. She auditioned for and was accepted to Joffrey Ballet in New York however Zoe chose to remain in Australia and completed the finishing year program with Melbourne City Ballet Company. During her time with Melbourne City Ballet Zoe performed with the company in a Midsummer Night's Dream, Carmen, Toyshop and Tink. As well as participating in their Finishing Year Gala. Zoe has moved to London to further her dance career
Sophia Maher - At age 16 Sophia was accepted into the NZSD where she graduated in 2015 with her Certificate in Dance Performance. Sophia spent her final year of training with the Melbourne city Ballet Company as a pre-professional student where she was fortunate enough to perform with the company in many of their seasons. In 2017 Sophia will join the company as an Emerging Artist
Holly Brogan - Holly graduated after 3 years at The Zealand School of Dance in 2017, receiving a diploma in Contemporary dance. Whilst at the school she was involved in The World of Wearable Arts 2015, Scope Choreographic Season 2016 and Once Choreographic Season 2017. She choreographed and directed a dance film called 'Phobetor'. She travelled to Europe twice participating in Impulstanz dance festival, HJS summer intensive, B12 festival and the Sidi larbi Eastman intensive. She is now moving to London to start her professional dancing career overseas.
Katherine Horner - At age 15, Katherine accepted a scholarship to Canterbury Ballet where she studied classical and contemporary dance for 18 months, during this time she toured the lower South Island with the Aotearoa National Youth Ballet performing the full length ballet La Bayadere. In May 2016 Katherine won the South Island Ballet Award. In July 2017 Katherine successfully auditioned and attended the ABT summer intensive in America and in October Katherine travelled to Melbourne to audition for Melbourne City Ballet Finishing Year programme and was offered a place in this programme and will be attending in 2018.

Louis Ramsay
Louis Ramsay - At age 16 Louis joined the Australian Ballet School and will have completed two years at the end of 2017, receiving a Diploma in Dance. Louis’ highlights include traveling in 2016 and 17 to Sydney with the school to dance at the Sydney Opera House and the Concourse Theatre in Chatswood. Louis also danced in The Snow Queen at the end of 2016 and will be a priest in Coppelia this December.
Louis graduated from The Australian Ballet School in 2019. He took part in an exchange to Canada’s National Ballet School, and has performed with The Australian Ballet’s Regional Tour of Coppélia, and in the Melbourne season of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Honor Christian-Slane
Honor Christian-Slane - Honor danced at Philippa Campbell School of ballet for 10 years achieving Distinction in all her Vocational Exams.
In 2015 she was a Quarter Finalist at the Alana Haines Award and a Finalist at the Logan Campbell Award.
Early 2016 was spent recovering from two ankle surgeries but later in the year she was again a Finalist at the Logan Campbell Award.
She auditioned and was accepted into the New Zealand School of Dance as a Classical Major for 2017.
Honor graduated with a National Diploma in Dance Performance from NZSD in 2019, and is a founding member of Turid Revfiem’s Ballet Collective Aotearoa.

Lilly Maskery
Lilly Maskery- Lilly started ballet at the age of 3 at Philippa Campbell School of Ballet. She was a
Genee Dance Challenge national finalist in 2012 and in 2013 was a junior finalist in the Alana
Haines Australasian Awards. From 2014-2016 Lilly was a junior associate with the New Zealand
School of Dance. In April 2016 Lilly participated in the Youth America Grand Prix finals in New York
City and placed in the Top 12 for the junior women age division and was awarded 7 scholarships
for international full time schools. She was the runner-up of the Sir John Logan Ballet Award and
the winner of the RAD 14+ dance scholarship and the National Young Performer Award for ballet.
Lilly has received a full tuition scholarship at the Australian Ballet School for Level 6 starting in
2017.

Cadence Barrack
Cadence Barrack - Cadence started dancing at the age of 3 and joined Philippa Campbell school of Ballet at age 14, where she spent two years and completed her RAD examinations including Advanced II, passing with Distinction. Cadence is currently studying as a full time classical major at the New Zealand School of Dance. Throughout her time as a dancer she has competed in the Alana Haines, Genee, Youth America Grand Prix, Sir John Campbell Logan and PACANZ.
Cadence graduated with the National Certificate in Dance Performance from the NZSD. Cadence joined the RNZB as an Apprentice in 2019, and is now a member of the Corps de Ballet.

Haylee Guy
PCSB student 13 – 15. Haylee joined the Philippa Campbell School of Ballet at age 13, during her time with the school she sat her RAD Advanced I exam, passing with distinction and completed her NZAMD Level Six exam with Distinction and was nominated to compete at the Scholarship Awards. Haylee was working towards sitting both the RAD Advanced II and NZAMD Contemporary Solo Seal exams at the time she moved onto full time training in Canada. Whilst at the school Haylee was able to compete in the RAD 14+ scholarship as well as being a contemporary associate at the New Zealand School of Dance for two years. Haylee auditioned for the Joffrey Ballet school in New York, and attended their 2017 summer school for seven weeks. She was accepted into full year training at both Joffrey and School of Alberta ballet. She is now training in Canada with the School of Alberta.

Monet Galea-Hewitt
Monet was the winner of Junior B section, Asian Grand Prix Auckland Region 2018, and a Gold medallist at the 2018 Adeline Genée Awards in Hong Kong. In September 2018 Monet took up a 50% scholarship and began studying for a Diploma of Professional Dance at English National Ballet School.
